The automaton blurs the line between a puppet and a sculpture. The figure’s movement gives us the illusion that it is animated, that it possesses life.
Using a variety of materials, children explore the dynamics of movement and the animation of figures. Each child will create their own figure, serving as a starting point for a more in-depth exploration within their school and family groups.

small workshop

Puppets, while often associated with childhood, are deeply woven into our collective imagination, history, and tradition. This art form offers an inexhaustible wealth of theatrical experiences, constantly renewing itself through innovative creation and manipulation on the modern stage.
It is essential for educators to equip themselves with the specialized knowledge needed to facilitate these experiences. By exploring diverse materials and construction techniques, teachers can provide students with the tools to develop original creative work, transforming the classroom into a laboratory for theatrical discovery and artistic expression.
